What do I gain by complaining?
Do I actually feel better when I complain?
Does complaining really change anything?
Things are what they are, and people are who they are.
What I can do is focus on the many things in my life for which I can feel grateful. Gratitude truly makes me feel better.
And if there are things I don't like that are within my power to change, I can take action instead of wasting my time complaining.
As for the things I cannot change, I can accept them and avoid wasting my energy on them.
Whether I live with greater emotional well-being and more joy depends largely on me.
